Easy swap, lots of room under the hood.

locate motor mounts and frame mounts so the swap will be in order

Do not expect the old motor mounts and frame mounts to work on the 8 cyl engine

The fact that the shifter is on the column. Dont worry, its an easy fix. Lift the assembly out of the column, remove the piece of plastic ribbon that says pnd21 and seal the column back over. then punch out the hole in the floor for your floor shifter and enjoy

The v-8 is a bolt in deal same motor mounts and u can leave the steerin like it is u have a 3 on the tree just disconnect the under hood linkage and u are done and just cut a hole in the floor fer the shifter and u use the same clutch linkage and all!!! Its a gravy swap!!
Its gunna take longer than u thought and its gunna cost more too(plan ahead!)

if it's a 230 or 250 the swap is easy motor mounts are the same if its a 292 mounts are different if you do have a 292 it is a better engine than the 305 it has more hp an tq. I have a 292 with a turbo that will run 9.88 in a 34 chevy coupe.
