    400 camshaft

     



    whats the widest lsa you can run in a 400? if you go too wide which lobes are th ones to watch out for?

    thanks tech but i already knew all that. what im doing is running a 406 with 5.7 eagle rods with cap screws, the cam i have in it has .464 intake lift and .470 exhaust lift with 114 lsa. this is in a computer controlled environment so vacuum is a must. i thaught i read somewhere that you cant run too wide or too narrow lsa because the lobes would hit the rods as the crank swings by. if i remember right i think its the exhuast lobe on the # 6 cylinder and cant remember the other one to watch out for.

    You should have no problem, the Eagle rods have a lower "shoulder" where the rod bolt head would have been.
