    No limit budget 383

Hey guys, I'm new to the site and am looking for all the info you can give me... I just ripped my 350 out of my 1980 Z28 and am going to completely overhaul it. I dont really have any budget limits as I am planning on taking my time with this one, so I'm wondering what kind of horsepower I can get out of this bad boy... I'm pretty set on a 383, and dont really want to run NOS, but other than that I am open... I've been thinking about victor Jr. or afr heads, and also about the possibility of running a procharger... anyone have any suggestions or a "recipe" for a CRAZY motor? thanks guys

your block will be good for around 800hp with some machine work....but thats kinda hard on the wallet.....with no budget limit...the sky is the limit....

question is...do you want a daily driver?.... a cruise night rod?....an all out drag car?.... are you going to race only?....drive it on the street?..... just show it?.....

To many variables.....what do you want to do with this car?

I've been to that ryan's car page, thanks.... some good stuff there, and some good ideas... I'm looking for a motor for street / strip use, but plan on giving it very little street time... not that I need or want 800 horse, but I'm just looking for some head / cam / intake / possible forced air / ignition / block ideas that will make a ton of power... I saw one on ryans car page that makes well over 600 horse, and it's with a weiand blower. Can I make similar horse with a procharger supercharger? I dont really want that monstrosity sitting on top of my motor... thanks

If you wan't all this "high horsepower" then why start with a 350? Get something like a 454 or a 557 if that is what you wan't. You will have lots of problems if you throw blowers and all that other stuff on a 350 or 383. I know you wanna use the 350 block you have but in a sense it's a waste of money to try and get something like 800 horsepower from it.
    My 2 cents!

If you wan't something done right, then you have to do it yourself!
