    trick flow top end kits?

I'm new to engine work and am looking to build up a small block chevy. I have people with experience who can help me put it together and tune it, I just want to make sure I get parts that are compatible with each other. I saw a series of kits that trickflow makes which include Heads, Rockers, Head Bolts, Camshaft, Button and Lock Plate, Lifters, Pushrods, Timing Set, and Gaskets. The kits claim to give from 350-500hp and are relatively cheap. Does anybody have any feedback on these kits?

Buddy bought the biggest horse kit, somewhere around 500 i think, very disappointed, small block chevy. Different guy bought trick flow r series heads for his 393 stroker, (ford 351), has had heads on for bout year and theres a hole in them now that leaks antifreeze, BUT.......everybody has different stories. Have you checked out holley systemax systems?? or dart top end kits?? just my 2 cents.
