very bad oil leak, 350 chevy
I have a 80,s 350 chevy engine. Its got a very bad oil leak. I think that is coming from the rear main seal but i have recently replaced it. but im not sure it coming from there. Its all over the starter and transmisson. It goes through about a 1-2 quart every few days. please help!

Check your intake manifold gaskets and valve covers. these are common leaking spots. if its not there, then your rear main seal is the culprit. Easiest way to tell a rear main is to pull the starter. if the nose if Coated, then its the rear main.Right engine, Wrong Wheels

it must be the rear main seal because my intake and valve cover gaskets are all right and its not my oil sending unit. so what would be the best way to replace it. how do i do it the right way.
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
