its been a long time sense i hooked up a powerglide trans linkage to a 350, but the best i can remember it hooked up with no problem, may have to adj. it a little at the shift column. put the gear shift in park and put the trans in park and take the linkage and hoot it to the trans.

It1s10 ain't pullin' youe leg kid. That's a kick down cable, or detent cable if you prefer. It does look a lot like a vacuum line on the TH350. It probably bolts down into a mount on the outside right hand side of the tranny. You don't have to have the pan off to replace it, but it does make it easier. It will run up over the top of the tranny and mount on the drivers side of the carb along with the carb linkage. You need to have the right carb and mount to hook it all up properly. The mount bolts to the rear base plate of the carb (most of the time) and the cable hooks to a hole on the throttle linkage on the carb itself. You will also need the vacuum line mentioned above to go to the modulator on the rear passenger side of the carb. Mine is a quadrajet, but the hook up works the same on the 2brl. I'll try to get pics to show you how it works tomorrow and post them here then. I'd have to agree with the teacher bein' a dip too. This is a very basic part of the tranny that any decent car guy should know. You can buy that cable at most parts stores. They make a few, so get your mounts and decide what size it should be. Most of the differences are early or late and then length. Hit up a pick-a-part and just look at some GM's. Most of these will be TH350's and you can see how it hooks to the carb. Good luck.
