Journal Adapter?
Hello Everyone, I was wondering if anyone knew where to obtain "thick" bearings to intall a Small Journal 327 Cranckshaft in a Large Journal 350 Block. I was informed that they make these to compensate for the difference in size of both the main and rod bearings but i cannot find any!!! Any info will be greatly appreciated
Thanks

I'm like Denny I've never heard of bearings to compensate for a SJ crank in a LJ block. Then again you could fill volumes with what I haven't heard of.
I suspect you may be thinking of the thicker bearings used to destroke a 400 SB by installing a 350 crank, something that was popular several years ago.
I suspect you may either need to dig up another block or crank and rods.

I figured they were available. I am running bearing spacers in my 400 block for the 350 crank. I know Grumpy Jenkins prefered the small journal 327 crank as opposed to the large journal crank due to better bearing speed in the small journal crank.

Ditto on the model kits! My best were lost when the Hobby Shop burned under suspicious circumstances....
How did you get hooked on cars?
