Same 350 Horsepower Question
I am still trying to figure out the horsepower of my 350 engine. It has 3.480 stroke, stock type low compression dished pistons bored 40 over, 60cc 305H.O. heads ported polished and gasket matched good to .510 lift, performer intake also gasket matched, performer 600cfm carb, and a comp cams 270H Magnum camshaft.Last edited by dcurtis; 03-28-2005 at 02:10 PM.

I've thought about putting it on a dyno but the closest one is a couple hundred miles away and I have no way of getting the truck there.

On my last thread (350 Horsepower Question) someone said it would make more than 300 but less than 400 so 240 sounds pretty far off.

I know that 305 heads normally lose power at about 5000-5500 rpm's but will porting, polishing and gasket matching the heads and intake raise that rpm or make more power at lower rpms?
Also they are 305H.O. heads does that make a differance?

you could make the same build 20 times and have a different HP/torque rating every time... most parts rate the horse power on an average of the top performers at the crank... and remember... power at the crank really doesn't mean that much... I've seen cars that put out 450 at the crank but only have 300 at the wheels...
Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
