305 heads
I've tried searching for this thread but for some reason I'm having trouble. I'm sure it's been covered I just can't find it. Does anyone use 305 heads on a 350? I know it raises compression at the cost of decreasing flow, is there a good noticable difference? I have a set of heads here from my old 305 and was wandering if I should use them.

Yes sir, a quick cheat for a little compression. As far as flow you can get 'em machined for bigger valves. I've seen them used but never done it myself. Torn a couple down that were done like that and heard good things about it, but one thing to remember, 305 heads are technically light duty heads, so they won't take as much abuse as a good set of 350 heads.
