    383 Its Alive

Hey guys, the 383 i just built is alive. Finished hookin everything up and with a small amount gas in the carb it fired right up. Warmed it up set the timing check for leaks, none. Every thing is good. It was 1:20am when i fired t up so after i set the timing I shut her down dont want to piss my locals off to much LOL. Cant wait till tomorrow when i can throw the hood back on and take her out. Sounds awesome. I so fired up right now I had to let everyone know.

i know the feeling i just got my 283 to fire off the other night but could only let it run for a few min. (no cooling system) i have a cooling system on the way the radiator is in the front and the motor is in the back (its a porsche 914) and hose is expensive and i scored some for free! so my beast will drive soon right now im just running headers so the locals hate me

how big of a pain was that to put on a porsche? those 914's are nice agile little cars. I had a fiero gt awhile back and I would've loved to put a v-8 in that car. Did that 283 thow off it's balance any?
