    timing gear

as I continue to buy and get my parts together, I was wandering what people's opinions are of timing gear sets. Only real complaint I've heard is the noise. You either like it or you don't. Any other comments? since that'll all be apart I'll probably be looking at getting a comp 270 cam

If you men gear drives, forget it. You'll like it for about a week, then hate it for the rest of your life. Get a good double roller set.

A good double roller set in my opinion is far better than gears. All you get out of gears is a bunch of noise that you get tired of real soon.

    Thumbs down

I put the gears in mine. Makes it sound like the alternator going bad.
