    cutting out pt 2

Ok, just got back from going on a drive. In my previous post I said I took the check valve out of the fuel filter and the problem went away, well it's back. I did notice something today though. The engine is only cutting out when Rpms are sustaining between 4k and 4.5k rpms. I think this is more of a fuel pressure problem by the way it was acting today. So I guess I'll be adding a good quality fuel pump here in the next few weeks to my already growing shopping list. I'm wanting an electric 6-8 psi pump, but I'll probably end up just getting a good mechanical pump. Which would you guys recommend? So far since everything is Holley I was thinking one of the holley pumps but I don't have a clue where I'd mount it, or should I stick with a holley or carter mechanical pump?

If I remember correctly, your car has a small block Chevy motor, carbureted.

The Holley or Carter high performance street pumps will work fine. Your local auto supply should have them. You can use the Carter M6900 or the Holley 12-237-13.

If you go electric, use a Holley "Red" pump 12-801-1. Mount it near the tank, as low as you can in the chassis.

I've also notice that this only happens when it's warmed up around 190 degrees
