i have a 292 I6 in a 1973 chevy and i did a valve job recently, but it doesn't run too great. I looked at a manual and it said to tighten the rocker nut 1 turn after zero lash. i did this, and the engine seemed to sort of bog down like the valve did not shut all of the way. i will check again for the specs, but i don't think the book should be wrong but maybe it is. I looked around on the internet for valve adjusting specs, but i didn't find nothing. if anybody has an old shop manual or any suggestions on how to get my motor up and going would be very helpful.
