    Exclamation Drive Shaft HELP!

    Hello all,
My dad has a 1964 Chevy SWB Chevy Truck with a small block chevy engine. My dad and his buddy are in a bit of a stopping point while swapping transmissions and asked me to go online and ask this question, I'd appreciate if anyone can help in any way, thanks in advance!

"What donor vehicle can I get a drive shaft that will work in a 1964, 65, or 66 SWB Chevy Truck with SBC (Small Block Chevy) engine with 700R4 Tranny?"

Thanks again in advance, they need to get this done asap!

Just a thought since I'm not familiar with this particular application, but couldn't you use the 700R4 driveshaft yoke and adapt it to the trucks original driveshaft?

Seems like one of the locals did that and the only other thing required was shortening the shaft.

Either modify the current driveshaft by adding a 700/R4 yoke, or have a new one made. A decent driveshaft shop can do that for you. Chances of finding an exact match for an engine/trans combo that never existed are slim to none.
