don't think it's valve float. If I stay on the gas after it starts sputtering and puking it'll eventually kill the motor. If it starts hesitating at high rpms and I let off it'll recover and drive fine unless I push it. and I don't think valve float will empty the filter.

I hope you know what I mean. if there's pressure on top of that diaphram in the pump then when the arm pulls it up then there's abnormal resistance on top of it not allowing it to pump enough fuel on the downstroke

the pcv is working properly. I have the driver's side valve cover vented with the pvc on the passenger side. It smokes a little on start up. Mostly the valve seals I believe. Doesn't smoke too much when I get on it. It runs strong and doesn't knock or loose oil pressure. I don't tihnk it's blow by, but who knows. I hope it isn't. I am still leaking oil somewhere at the front I fount those plug holes that we were talking about in an earlier post. It may be coming from there. I just want to get this thing running right so I can get it painted

i was able to crawl under the car and get a good look at my lines. I have 4 lines ones a supply line, the other was the return line, I'm guessing the other two lines were for the vent and evap system. There's another line that I saw that was a factory compression fit but I don't even know what that's for. It came down into some kind of small canister looking thing that looked kinda like a fuel filter but didn't have an outlet. The main supply line wasn't a compression fittingjust a basic piece of 3/8 fuel line with hose clamps. So I bought about 3 feet of fuel line and hose clamps. Now all I need is to have this wonderful ohio weather give me a decent day to do it. Right now it's in the low to mid 40's. I swear to god almighty if I get a nice day to work on this I'm calling in.

I'm not trying to be ignorant or even an ass. But how's valve springs going to cause my fuel filter not to get fuel flow???
