350 streetrod rebuild
I'm rebuilding motor for my 66 Chevy PU. Would like opinions on best cam choices for my app. -- Prefer a noticeable idle but more concerned about performance over a broad range. Considering Comp 270H - 224 dur, .470 lift, 110 sep angle
Comp 268H - 218 dur, .454 lift, 110 sep angle
or Isky 270 Megacam - 221 dur, .465 lift, 108 sep angle
280 MegaCam - 232 dur, .485 lift, 108 sep angle
P.A.W. ISS also has one for about half the price with near same specs but sep angle is 114 unless I go to a much lower lift
Bore - .040 over
Stroke - Stock
Pistons - 4-relief flat top
Heads - late model '87-'93 cast iron (64cc?)
Intake - Edelbrock Performer
Carb - Q-Jet aftermarket mild performance
Exhaust - round-tube header, dual Cherrybomb glasspack, 2-1/2 in pipes
Tranny - 4 speed
Rear gears - 12 bolt probably stock, not sureLast edited by notdeadyet; 05-03-2005 at 09:15 PM.

I took ShawnLee's advice and called P.A.W. then Comp Cams. Both were very helpful. I've ordered the Comp Magnum 270H.
Great to see your new post, Mike, and great to see CHR up and running again after several days of the Hmmm, can't reach this page.... Also good that you found an easy solution to your storage/access...
