    Exhuast

anybody know of how to run a good nice clean dual exhuast setup on a 3rd gen camaro???? i no u can dual exhuast if you run the pipes side by side were it originally went but thats way outta my wallet range, and was wondering if anybody knew of any other ways for a real dual exhaust setup?????? cuz i like the sound of real duals and i find it more efficient on my motor setup i have... so if anybody knows of any good ideas for a 3rd gen let me know thanks...

I saw it done once but there wasn't any mufflers and the resonators deepened and mellowed it out. Even looked stock. They ran the dual pipes parallel to the driveshaft then curved and humped over the rear differential and then out the back with chrome resonators. sounded good too.

well is what i was thinking to do it was running shorty headers and get 2 1/2 cats welded on each header and then on the driver side bring the pipe inbetween the front control arm and inner frame rail tight squeeze on mine but will fit and then run the pipe down the side of the car underneath inside the body lip and have a small 2 1/2 flowmaster 40 seriers muffler and then right before the rear tire exit the pipe underneath the ground effects or cut a hole in the groundeffects if ur good with body work and put a stainless tips on like the 4gen camaro have stock the rectangular tips, and basically the same set up on the passenger side and it alot cheaper then running duals side by side, but i wont have my exhuast liek that till next summer possibly this summer if i can score a job... but i will definitly post pics when i get it done for sure and it will be as high as the stock exhuast if not alil higher lol then i can show all these guys on the camaro board i no that its possiable to put real duals on it , cuz they say it impossible :P hahahahahah

I know it's not impossible I saw it done I personally was under an 86 z-28. like I said though there were no mufflers just like 4 inch resonators on the end, but it rumbled and it sounded good and it was quiet until you really get on it.

    craps and giggles

I'm thinking of just getting headers and running pipes that exit right behind the front tires

ya i would do that also but were i live u have to have the exhuast exit out past the rear passenger compartment plus its law to have mufflers on ur car were i live too, i would also run duals with turn downs b4 the rear end but my buddy did that on his old 70's jimmy truck and it rotted the floor underneath .......... but it was drove one year in winter i believe so other then that i think i will run what i was yapping about b4 lol
