Blower w/ high silicon alum. pistons???
.......ok, it's time for 'plan B' ... Are high silicon aluminum pistons strong enough for use with a blower? I was looking at the available GM crate motors and saw a 383 {part #12499106}. They have a steel crank, steel rods and these pistons. If the pistons will work then I can use my AFR 195 heads and put a blower on it. The compression ratio would be around 8.4 to 1 so that'd be ok. Please tell me the pistons are strong enough! Thanks, Bill

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
