    Angry Manifold Problem?

     



    I am trying to remove my old manifold on my small block chevy and it is completly stuck. I have tried to pry it off with a screwdriver but it just wont budge. Any suggesstions?

    yes i got all of the bolts out and loosened the bolts around the valve covers but it is still stuck and wont pry out with a screwdriver

    no picture. it seems that the passenger side of the manifold id really stuck and i cant even get anything between it to pry it up. any tricks or ways to get out of his problem, im desperate to get it done so i can install the new manifold and get back on the road again

    How many bolts did you take out? Did you remove the distributor already? If its just stuck, take two very small flathead screwdrivers and put them just under the intake on each of the front corners and tap them with a hammer, that has worked for me in the past. You can always try a little penetrating oil between the heads and intake. If that doesnt work try some dynamite!!!!

    theres 12 bolts...6 on each side....
