283 builkd up
Im looking for any info advice or direction on building my 1956 chevy 283, it is going into my 63 willys with a gm 4speed and 5.13 gears.

How fast or quick do you want to go? do you care about fuel mileage.....?
We can help you build a 283 that will rev way past 10,000rpm and run 8's....but's not gonna be a grocery getter?
Course if we could ever get that 283 turned 2cycle started it outta be a real hummer....

there was no 1956 283 it came out in 57 so anyway id say bore it .60 use a 6.5 inch rod with about 11.5-1 compression a set of good small cc chambered heads would give you more compression and torque. if ya need anymore info just ask im always here
