Yes I did install my own cam bearings. I could have messed them up. I got a new set of cam bearings and going to change them just in case.

Don't just change them for the heck of it. Make sure whether they are right or not. I believe it is the front one that has to be in a particular position for the oil holes. The others have to line up with the oil grooves in the block and also have to be in their respective positions for clearance. Do the cam bearings last after you find if there is a possible problem with anything else. Are you using a cam bearing installation tool to remove and install them?

Yes I bought the proper tool for installing and removing them.

I just got the engine and trans out. Going to take it apart this evening. We shall see what it is.

If you have an engine test stand is it possible to run the engine up befor you put it back in the car ? I am a bit suspicious about that dual r emote filter setup, so just by a process of elimination, put the original chevy cartridge filter and adaptor back on to check weither it is an internal oiling problem BEARINGS or an external problem FILTERS and LINES and there hookup and positioning.

I had the problem before I put the remote system on.

Wait a minute here! I don't recall that you had problems and THEN put the remote system on. Which pump were you using at that time? Are you saying that you had the problem with no oil pressure, then put a dual remote system on? I am hoping that I am misunderstanding you.

I had a high volume pump on. I thought I might not have enough oil. of cource I know the way I added oil to the system would not help in any way other than cool the oil. But the first time I started it I just had the factory filter on. I had 40 psi then went to 5. Pulled the engine checked the cam bearings and sure enough I had a gap behind the rear cam bearing and the plate in the block. Fix that put a stock oil pump on. Started it and had 40 psi oil pressure then went to 5. When I primed the engine I had plenty of oil flow out of all the rockers.

ok ok. On the cam bearings. I messed them up. On the box they a labeled 1 2 3 4 5. I thought that was the position in the block not the order to install them. So I guess I put them in backword.
