Chevy 383
Hi, im new here and iwas wondering what a good H.P. amount for a street/strip 1975 El Camino with a 383 in it. I plan on rebuilding the 383 and replacing the crank, pistons, and rod with forged and putting a bare set of world heads with 2.02 x 1.60 valves. I plan on trying to run 76cc combustion chambers so i can have about 10.5-1 comp. Another question i have is what kind of cam should i run? Hydralic because of street or solid because of horsepower potental? Or is a hydralic roller worth putting the extra 5 or 6 hundred dollars in it? I also am putting a edelbrock performer rpm intake, a 750 edelbrock carb, and a msd igntion system. What kind of HP do you htink this would make.
Thanks for your time and any and all help.Smile now, Cry later
