Help ID GM heads (no casting #??)
Just trying to ID some SB Chevy heads. There are no casting #'s i can find. The only marks on each head are
W above a D12 above 93, then an NH, then a 1-037 above what looks like a tear drop surrounded by 8 dots.
There are presently on a strong running engine, they need no work etc. i was just curious about the lack of casting #'s.Lamey Custom Knives

You may be looking at aftermarket heads? Not sure though. Some popular makes are World, Brodix, Dart?

... i wish that were the case, but dont think so. I purchased this Chevelle from the Estate of the original owner, who was an employee of the GM Tonawanda plant. Everything on the 350 is pretty much GM parts, even the belt, ignition etc... I can tell this guy wasnt a big believer in aftermarket stuff.
any how, ive looked at all the popular places online to ID heads/blocks etc... and im coming up with -0- on the info. i listed above.
i dont think they are anything "special", just curios as to what they are etc...Lamey Custom Knives

Yea, your probably right. I am no expert on casting numbers. I dont know your level of mechanics. Hopefully you are looking under the rocker covers for your number? Not to insult, just trying to eliminate the possibilities.

yep those ID markings i posted were from under the covers, and the NH is above were the typical casting # would be (or what ive seen in the past).Lamey Custom Knives
