by the sounds of the last post you have gotten the poblem fixed. However if you havn't, you may want to consider installing jet extensions on the primaries, on some vehicles during WOT acceleration, the weight transfers enough to cause the fuel to recess to the back of the fuel bowls, starving the primaries of fuel and causing a lean "pop". by getting these jet extensions, it extends the jet farther into the bowl so the primaries will always be getting fuel. This was happening to my truck under heavy acceleration with the same carb.

thanks 69c10,
I think most of the fuel problem was corrected. Just need a regulator now to give steady 6psi. Wants to run 7-9. When closer to 9 it wants to stumble around curves and light throttle. Edelbrock says a regulator would help.

Fwiw - Carter/Edelbrocks have the jets near the bottom of the float bowl and acceleration forces don't have too much of an effect on them.
True for the Holley's though.
Like the S10 guys say, a regulator should be your next purchase.C9

The Holley Q. was directed at 69C10.
Mainly cuz I never heard about jet extensions for Carter/Edelbrocks . . . which don't mean much . . . I haven't heard about a lotta things....C9
