he also used one in his daughters "sleeper"...its a 69 chevelle (the car doesnt say sleeper, the motor does) with a 305/th350 combo and ive been in the car when it has out run 350's and 400's...its a 305 with that cam in it, a demon carb, flat top pistons, some kind of competition rod, and a pair of world heads

the cam is a Lunati
the label reads like this:
Valv LFT .420/.442
Lobe LFT .263/.276
ADV DUR 270/280
.50 DUR 204/214
LASH 000/000
LOBE CEN 108/116
and it says LUNATI 283/400 CHEV. RV 270
The motor needs to be torn apart and the crank sent off to balance first...it is so far out of wack that it broke a bellhousing so yea...lol

i think im going to take that cam out and go with one that will be a good street cam but that will still give me the mildness to drive it back and forth to work...we'll see

Hopper, that's actually a pretty mild cam and being ground on 112 LDA, it should provide good manifold vacuum to run brakes, etc.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

ok thanks tech.
anyone have any suggestions about what rear end gears to run with a 335 stroker/700r4 combo? I don't think my factory rear end is going to hold up much longer so i figure ill go ahead and replace it.

your factory rear is 2.73's? go with a 3.73 if ya want to run the 1/4, keep a 2.73 or 3.08 raito if your worried about gas prices. but you have an overdrive so, the 3.73 might be the ticket. You don't know what you've got til it's gone

grrr i still cant get my mind off that 292...i pretty much already bought that 335 but that 292 just wont leave me alone...for the price id have the same amount of money into the motor no matter which way i went but im really thinking id be happier with the 292 and a good set of rear end gears and a well built 700r4?
the 292 is supposed to make quite a bit more torque that the 335 plus the 292 would be unique.
when i say i pretty much already bought it i mean that i can still get my money back out of it and go with the 292 instead....
any comments on which way i should go would be very helpful thanks!

changed my mind on both of them when i found out how much it would cost to make them both run
Now, im going with a plain hopped up 305 with tbi perching ontop, and 700r4 in the back
Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
