    Question 1980 Chevy, QuadraJet #17080204

What do you do about vacuum leaking around the throttle rods? Both the primary and secondary rods are sucking air.

Throw it away and buy a totaly refurbished and enhanced from stock q-jet from the Autoclinic in Benton Harbor, Michigan for $200. I have three of them and know of 6 other people to purchase them and they all run great. I know it's the easy way out but sometimes that's the way to go. I will chase down the phone number and can get a friend to pick one up for you and send it to you if you are interested.

Auto Clinic, 269-927-2237. Talk to Al or Oscar and ask for an Enduro carb.
