    Help on cam choice.

So far, I have recieved a great deal of information and lots of choices from this forum.
I need to choose a cam for my 350.
I am a solid .030 over, normal 202 head, 64CC chamber. I run a performer manifold, and 600 EGR Edelbrock carb. It is for a van, G/20, 1986 that is my project vehicle. I put in a 2.73 rear, tefloned the rear springs. 1 1/2 front and rear torsion bars. Poly suspension bushings.
I do jewelery for a living, and will do shows. My van will be a mobile repair station for jewelry. I want it to portray a certain image.
The cam I want is for torque, and ultimately mileage. I have a .196/.204 in it at this moment. I was considering going 1/5 + 1/6 rockers, rather than a cam. The cam now gives torque, but I am having an hard time with reliability in the carb adjustment. I suspect my cam is for a car with higher rpm recquirements.
Any advise. Changing a cam in a van is a little more challenging than a car. I have to remove the nose.
Thanks for all the help so far.

You have the correct cam in there now for torque and mileage. If you're having carb problems, change the carb or rebuild it.

I have the right cam.... That is good to know, I can save a lot of money and time. Maybe I should send the carb back and have it rebuilt by Edelbrock. It is brand new and has been miserable ever since we got it.

That being said. I have to make a carburation fix to do. After that point, is it worthwhile to go with after market rockers? I am not sure the overall condition of the rockers in the engine as it is, I have been looking at different ratios. 1.5 intake, 1.6 exhaust, 1.52 intake and 1.52 exhaust, rolller tip, roller. The list goes on, and on.
I know, the stock rockers have served engines for a long time. Rockers are something I do not really understand.
Any advice. I also plan on new pushrods. The lifters came with the cam, and it has less than 30,000 miles on it.
