Using an HEI on a Ford? First time i've heard that.

as to Ford parts on hot rods...ever hear of a Ford 9 Inch rear end?

It seems these days Fords use the 302 or nothing, the Chevy 350 is as common as the common cold in winter.
Chevy motors may be cheaper to build, and possibly put out more peak HP than a comparable fordbut the Ford engine will last twice as long.
And if you go to your local chevy dealer, you buy a vette or FWD...wheras Ford has the Stang and Crown Vic (or Tbird if you got a vette-sized wallet)

As interesting (and informative) as all this is, it answers not the original question - using an MSD 6 on a Chevy. I know one post said run the HEI, but a)we don't wanna, and b)the MSD is better.
