Best way to clean up some heads
I have a set of 305 heads at my house that need to be cleaned up bad. They are about 20 something years old and were in a flood. So they are still greasy and just covered in abunch of nasty junk. My dad said oven cleaner is a good thing to use. What would you sugeest.

That would work.
When I clean my block, I took it on the stand to the local car wash, and used the Engine Cleaner selection. Did a pretty good job too. A pressure washer with some Simple Green would do wonders I bet.460_Fan

The best way is to take the heads apart and have them hot tanked at a machine shop, this will get the gunk out of the ports and water jackets.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Put them through the dishwasher - but prepare for a divorce if she catches you
Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
