    Horsepower & Torque

Just wondering if anyone could help me estimate or desk top dyno the horsepower and torque of my in process engine, it consists of .030 over 350 stock deck height, Eagle forged steel crank and rods, flat top TRW-Power Forged pistons, World Products Sportsman 2 heads w/200cc runners, 72cc chambers, Comp Cams Magnum Roller 1.52 rockers, Edelbeock Torker 2 intake, 750cfm Edelbrock carb, and either a Comp Cams 286H or the 292H camshaft???
Bolting it all to a race prepped 700r4 tranny with a 2500-3000 stall and some 373 gears.

Thanks for any and all info...

with zero deck, you're at 9.26:1 c.r., with the piston 0.030" in the hole at TDC, you're at 8.73:1. Not enough compression to run the cams you listed. You'd need more like 10.0:1 to make either of them work correctly. You might squeak by with the smaller of the two, but I'd be re-thinkin' the combination.

An 0.015" shim gasket would work if the deck height is at least 0.025". Any less than that would be inviting a piston/head collision.

Thanks for the noticing the compression flaw on my part, I don't know how but when I used the compresion calculator I came out to 10 to 1? Anyway the machine shop I use is doing all the clearance checking for me, would the compression be more reasonable with the 64cc version of the Sportsman 2's as I haven't ordered the heads or pistons yet?
Once I get my compression to 10 to 1 do you think the combo will make good power (work well together) or should I change something?

A 355 is gonna have to turn up some rpm's to handle 200 cc intake ports, what do you plan to do with this motor?

The heads are way to big for this combo.Try heads down around the 170 cc size. The 268 cam would work fine then.Keep in mind with iron heads depending on the cam the max. comp ratio you could run on pump gas would be about 10.to 1.

It will be parked most of the time, I would probably take it through town once or twice a week tops, but mainly it will live at the track.
