if your running forged because your running turbos and building a spinner, make sure to finish off the bottom with a set of arps.it wont matter what kind of crank you have if you pull off the caps because the hardware was infuriour. sounds like an awsome project.a friend of mine just finished a 1200hp.destroked 440 to a 388 with an alcohol funny crank and a huge turbo with a custom 6" exhaust, stainless.recessed edelbrock aluminum heads, ported with tripple springs .custom fuel injection. he had a new 8 71 blower on it but wanted more.so he sold the huffer and bought the turbo.man you she see this thing .its in a 72 dart.trans brake ,strange axles,everything.....torino

Look for blower/turbo forged pistions like JE or Wiseco. And you must match them to the chambers of the heads you are going to use to figure out static compression. You don't want anything over 8.5:1 for a blower/turbo engine. Around 8:1 would be best. As for rods, I would go with the bushed type. Your Eagle I-beams should do the job, but if you are going to be running over 500 hp, then definitely go H-beam. This is assuming you are going to go with a 350 and not stroke it to 383 which is not necessary if you are going with forced induction. FWIW, the later blocks are designed to run a roller cam which is a plus. You won't have to purchase those expensive retrofit rollers.

ok I am running a 350 not stroker..

I will go with the I beams then.. and now how can I find the 8:1 JE or Weisco pistons.. does anyone have a part number??

also when I get the pisonts then I just need to match them to the heads when I get that far right??

Go to the link below. They handle both JE and Wiseco pistons. You can shop and compare. If you want to check out their individual websites to get phone numbers, I have listed them below also. Do your research, make some calls and see what they recommend.

Let's start at the begining; what is this engine going in? What is the purpose of both the car and the engine? What power are you hoping for? Is this a driver or strickly a racer?

These questions will go a long way towards answering you questions.
