Just curious, why do you think you need a solid roller on a "mild street" 350?PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

Don't go solid for a street engine and you know with that much cam you will have to compensate for it in other areas, unless it is a Sat. nighter only and your demeaner is rough as a cob. Don't think the 180cc runner will help the 'problem' of this cam in a street car. Thats enough cam to match most heads available,' DEPENDING' on what else is there and if it matches the application. If the rest of the vehicle/engine is a matching application, AND, vehicle use, intended RPM range,is factored in with all that then yes the 180 or 200cc heads would work.Hey has that thing gotta Heme in it? No, it's a shevy not heme!

Thanks Erik, I was leaning towards 180's. I agree with you on the if in doubt go smaller philosophy. The Race-Rite 180's have a pocket port I am pretty sure.
Inspector, Not so sure its "need" as much as "want". I have a few reasons.
1. I like solids
2. I like rollers
3. wanted to do something different this time. I have had everything in the past except a solid roller.
4. I have an older style block. The retrofit hydraulic rollers for the old style block are heavy and mucho $$$$$$.78 malibu

the cam is not to big when you take out the running lash and i have had them solids roller. on the street for 20 years long time? long as you are not trying to put more than 3000 mile a year on it you will be ok i like to take them out the roller and check them at two years or 2500 miles or so. on the heads for the street smaller 180 but for hi rpm and hp the 200 you mite know this some one may not if the roller are new set them in a tray of paint thinner and then blow them out set them in 30 wt oil over nigth the gease in them when new you want out first start up with this stuff in them is no good
