i have a 305 too. if i come across a 350 im taking it, i advise you to do the same. i think holley makes a better quadrajet carberator, that is an easy economic way to improve acceleration. it should bolt right in place of your fuel injector. by the way maybe someone can help me...my stock carb is like 500 cfm i think, if i replace it with a holley should i get like 600?

with a budget of $900, you can easily have a 350 built and running...they are very cheap because they are very common.

I was doing some checking on the net and am finding that the 350 will bolt great to the existing 305 setup within the car now
My dad has a 383 built up from a 350 block and is offering it to me for 450 which is a hell of a price
however
what chip will i need to use?
engine mounts?
will the ac brackets fit up?
will the tbi fit and work?
should i stay with the performer edlebrock that he alredy has on it?
go with a tripple core radiator?
wireing harnesses on the new motor?

well the police caprices came with 350's. the mounts are probably the same and stuff, try looking up specs on the police package caprices.

if it has a 305 then the 350 block will fit...they are the same on the outside...
the 305 tbi will starve a 383...
Leave the intake on the motor, its a good one....go carburated.

would the tbi still starv the 383 with larger injectors?
say like 454 or 350?

Ok after doing some research, i decided to stay with a 305 for money reasons....
what i need to know is, what modification would be sugjested for my engine....
Keeping the TBI setup what brands would people here sugjest?

Id suggest the same thing that everyone should do that wants to pep their motor...
heads, intake, cam, headers, and fuel source.
If u must stay with the TBI then get a bigger one. Holley sells a factory replacement 5.7L TBI system that works on the hopped up 5.0L. I think...If someone else could confirm that would be a much better statement.

what if i am wanting to NOT pull the motor?
Since I dont have a cherry picker, or engine stand, what top end performance upgrades can I do?

with 207,000 miles on it..I wouldnt bother spending money on the engine itself, Id spend it on an exhaust & ignition upgrade.75 GMC C-15 factory 454, automatic, lowered
