Welcome to the forum, and thanks for participating...
Now then, you took out a 327 and put in a 305? You need to change your meds dude. There is an OLD OLD OLD saying that is 100% true in hot rodding (of any kind) THERE IS NO SUBSTITUE FOR CUBIC INCHES! Size matters man.
All else being equal, the 327 is about 10% bigger, the 350 18%, and that means THAT much more power, etc.
Also, I'd like to see this 8,000 RPM revving 305 you speak of!It may exist, but what all did you do to make it reve like that and stay together?
