I'm no cam expert, and don't even have a dog in this fight. As for the cam, I gave up on hydraulic and flat tappet cams a long time ago. I like mine to be mechanical rollers and spec'd and built by Comp Cams. Yeah, they cost more.. But the best usually does and imo is well worth it.
As for cylinder heads, I go with the guys who have the flow bench and experience to make it work best. Without a flow bench to verify what the head is REALLY doing, you're just taking some clown's word for what the head is performing at and hoping the guy who assembled it didn't have his mind on some tootsie he met the night before or is suffering from a hangover. I also prefer real dyno's to virtual dyno's and a winning record at the track vs. a lot of theory.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

WOW...you guys started the dog fight and I haven't even found my seat yet. I thought something was a brewin' here until I read the first post dated a year and a half ago.........HUH? Guys! Listen to the advice on here. Erik runs the bench and feels what you want and need are not matching. Look at my avatar, I was a major builder in that motor, so unless you're willing to go that route listen and be happy with what is given to you. your anger management counsler and your wallet will thank you. OH, by the way, you'll have a driver that makes your butt pucker when you stomp it.What if the "Hokey Pokey" is what it's really all about?
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
