edlebrock intake for 87 later heads
i want to put a rpm airgap manifold on a 87 later heads cast iron. but edlebrock only makes plan performer for 87+ heads.will a rpm airgap for 86 earlier head fit?
does anyone have experence with the power diference between performer and performer rpm.
with a 5000 redline will a rpm intake get me more power
and if the performer rpm for 86 doesnt fit do you guys think if i put a performer for 87 and a 1/2 inch spacer give me about the same results

Dont forget about getting your car thru smog.....if it is street driven.
Your best bet is to make a cheap call to Edelbrock and describe what you want to accomplish......their guys know the product.

The Performer is stated by Edelbrock to make power from idle to about 5,500 rpm's, the Performer RPM from 1,500 to about 6,500. If I were doing it, using a stock converter and limiting the motor to 5,000 rpm's, there's no question that I'd choose a standard Performer. I'd want the higher mixture velocity afforded by the smaller runners of the standard model in order to pack the cylinders better at lower rpm's and give me more power under curve.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.
