dieseling
Hi
I have a big block chevy 402 bored 30 over. 288 cam dome pistons tricked heads. 750 eldebrock carb, mallory comp 9000 distributor. I have no vacum advance. My timming is set a 22 degress. Runs awesome. It will light em up all day. But when i go to shut it off it diesels. It doesnt do it very bad at all. But it does it. I have lowered the timming to around 15 degrees and it hesitates sort of drags. At idle it sits at a 1000. In gear its at 8.
I was told the carb needs rebuilt, but been told alot of things. Please any help will be gratly appreciated.
