    Rockers Not Fitting Right

I bought some Proform Roller Rockers to put on some stock SBC heads. After torqueing the heads down, I put my new pushrods in, backed the locks out of the rockers and placed thim on the studs. I have one that looks like it would be in a bind if I tighten them down. In other words, the ball is not going in the cup of the rocker. A friend says to drill out the guides, but I say this should all work, stock being stock.

They are 1.5 ratio, 993 heads, Edelbrock
lift @ 420I/442E. I contacted Edelbrock's tech support before I chose the camshaft and they said it would be fine. The pushrod lengths are also standard, as I compaired them with my old ones. The heads were taken to a machine shop for a valve job and springs were checked.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Well, as they say, live and learn! I called the Company in Ohio where I purchased these. The dude says they have had multiple problems with these rockers and he would have never suggested them, (but his company said they were fine when I ordered them). I'll send them back and get some Harland Sharps this time.

I was amazed at the countrys that produce parts these days. I bought $1,200.00 from this place and found the following.

    Rockers-China
    Dampner-Mexico
    Fuel Pump-Korea
    Valve Covers-Tawian
    Distributor-UNK
    Pushrods-UNK

    All Mellings Products-USA
    All Edelbrock Products-USA
    Moroso Oil Pump Shaft-USA

It should be a law to tell you where this crap is made!
