    head and block castings

     



    whatsup guys? ill gutted my engine gettin it ready for the pull. i got the casting numbers on my heads and block. the number on the block is 25 gm 3970016 and the heads are T 399891 can any one help with these? thanks. oh yea here are some pics on how my project is going.

    oh man i forgot to tell you guys, i unscrewed a bolt from one of the heads and water poured out like a hose! eek! all bad.

    the heads look like 307. I couldn't find the block #

    The head bolts on a chevy extend into the water jackets. This is normal. Make sure you put sealer on the threads when you put it back together.

    oh so thats normal? ok , cuz i was tripping out . i was like aw man, so seal them and what else would recomend? well im buying a new long block and getting rid of the engine i have now. i have a lot of work to do on this one, the intake manifold is all rusted, and everything is dirty, so im going to pressure wash everything so im ok there. and today i found out that there are diferent motor mount in my van, the whole engine is tilted. im pissed i could kill the guy i bought it from, ill have more pics tomarrow.

    so are they smaller heads? like for a 350?
