probably. The clearancing issues with a 400 crank in a 350 block are at the pan rail and up on the shoulders of the rods at the cam.

what do you check for the clearance for the cam? the cam is a lunanti that came with the systemax 11 kit. is lift a problem?. the price difference of a 350 4 bolt and 383 4 bolt is about $350. might as well do it. have to find out what else is going to have to be changed. is ther a book that can be bought. it has been almost 50 years since i drop a 331 cu caddy into my 50 ford.

William, here's the best I can do for you, read these threads from others who have built these motors...Not all these threads apply, but I did the best 2 searches I could. Could not get "*383 rod clearance" to come up.
