backpressure
could to much back pressure in my exhaust make a knocking noise

Extreme backpressure, like from a collapsed pipe, can cause detonation (pinging) from heat buildup. Fix it quick!

I think you have some other problem. Your exhaust may make it run like a pig, but I don't think it would cause a knock.I intend to live forever; so far, so good.
