    sbc starter motor

was just chatting to a friend and it turns out he knows a few people who go tractor pulling....

yes, dont laugh! its our equivalent of drag racing! anyway a couple of people have their pullers powered by THREE in-line sbc 350's. apparently they never use the stock starter motors, but will only use starters from Meteor engines (V12 tank engines, like the spitfire and late mustang engine, but with out the supercharger). aparently this is the same all round england, and there isnt a shortage of chevy starters. is this common in america too?

Objects in my rear view mirror are a good thing unless,.... they have red and blue lights flashing.

I'd guess that those other starters are high torque, and probably more suited for those puller engines.
