    rear end question after rebuild

Just rebuilt the rear in my firebird have a question how much slop is expected with axles moving in and out of the carrier after the c -clip is installed I have a good 1/8 inch to a quarter of an inch? is this right?

    Kenny
should I be correcting the slop?

Everything looked identical. I even took the old shims for the axle gears that the c clip goes in and doubled them up.....
perhaps the c-clip is worn thin........... I'll have to call richmond fears tomorrow or jegs and see if there are shim kits to get the slop out......... But as far as I know the new gears and shims were Identical........................

    any suggestions?

    Kenny
