pat, far as i know 600 hp is 600 hp, if you got a 600 HP motor that won't spin a "dot tire,"(or a tire that will pass a st. insp. test) then either you dont have 600 hp, or its de tuned so much it won't spin. a de tuned motor on the st. is no good to you, because all you're doing is moving the power band up, and between stop light to stop light you'll never get to use it, so why do it other than bragging rights, and that's ok to, just as long as you call it that. bragging rights don't out run nothing. i don't call putting slicks on a car as st. racing.

i.ve raced side by side on dirt at 130 mph so you're not gonna show me much. i drove a 600 hp motor on the st. every day for 20 yrs, so i have a pretty good idea what it takes to try to hook it up. ill say it again, if you have 600hp+ hooked up with a st. tire, then you dont have 600 hp. if its built so it want spin on the st. then you have a top end motor which is no good to you on the st., you're not using 600 hp.

Me too, Mike!!!! and there ain't nothing like it for thrills!!!!! Even more fun then anything you could do with your clothes off!!!!! Our last sprinter (1978) was 610 dyno horse in a 1600 Lb. car......Very low horse and heavy weight by today's standards.... I can only imagine what 750 horse in a 1400 pound car feels like!!!!!

I know what ya mean, Mike!!!!! Kind of like the old song from WW1, "How ya gonna keep em, down on the farm, after they've seen Paris"

Street is neat, not near as intense on the competition....til you throw the cops in on the equation!!!!!!
