pat, far as i know 600 hp is 600 hp, if you got a 600 HP motor that won't spin a "dot tire,"(or a tire that will pass a st. insp. test) then either you dont have 600 hp, or its de tuned so much it won't spin. a de tuned motor on the st. is no good to you, because all you're doing is moving the power band up, and between stop light to stop light you'll never get to use it, so why do it other than bragging rights, and that's ok to, just as long as you call it that. bragging rights don't out run nothing. i don't call putting slicks on a car as st. racing.and i would let you pick the car they both make ove 750 hp even on a bad day
read what i posted my car had stock steet tires not slicks and a stock 454 with a cam this was 20 years ago and i think the comp bfg will pass but this i do know there are no test here in bay city

Our last sprinter (1978) was 610 dyno horse in a 1600 Lb. car......Very low horse and heavy weight by today's standards.... I can only imagine what 750 horse in a 1400 pound car feels like!!!!!Mike

Ditto on the model kits! My best were lost when the Hobby Shop burned under suspicious circumstances....
How did you get hooked on cars?
