Well, I actually preferred 1966!!! Small engines in light cars works great, too. When a car weighs 3700 pounds, ya gotta have a ton of torque just to get the slug moving!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Yes,but that was then this is now the year 2006 not 1966.The whole idea is to build an engine that turns less r.p.m.'s and makes h.p.The word is cycles. Why not build a larger engine that turns less r.p.m.'s?Jack

Scooter, back in the mid '60's there were a couple or so guys that used to come down to Lions from So. San Francisco running out of Champion Speed Shop to partake in the Top Fuel wars. They ran, of all things, a SBC. They weren't unbeatable, but they sure put a lot of 392 Hemi's to shame. If I remember correctly one or two of the half dozen or so defeats The Greer, Black, Prudhomme ever suffered was at the hands of that very wicked SBC.Ken Thomas

Should be interesting!!!! And ya know what else???? Last sprint car car race I went to I sure didn't see many big blocks their, either!!!! small cubes, light cars...big cubes, heavy cars. It's all a matter of it requiring X Ft. Lbs. of torque to accelerate X Lbs of weight......Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
