spark plug brand
Hey guys, what kind of spark plugs do you use? Champion,AC, Accel, Autolite? What do you have the best luck with? I have a set of Accel plugs in my 350 and they suck. When I went to tighten the screw on top the center electrode spun. Didn't like that but I started the motor anyway 'cause it was all I had.
Need your opinion please. Russ

I had exactly the same experience with Accels. I pulled them out after a very short time and slid in motorcrafts (it is in a Ford 302) and with a Unilite distributor and Accel Super coil, I just changed them after 3 years, and they still looked good.
I'm really surprised at the Accels.

I think it would cross to an Autolite 75 or 85. Usually better to check by application though, and not cross reference. Go with the book recomendation for you engine, then adjust up or down to get the correct heat range. Might want to check Autolite.com, lots of options on different styles of plugs. Pick the one that best matches your engine and driving conditions.......Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Thanks Dave,
It's a pieced together motor so I can't really go by application other than maybe what it resembles as maybe a 70 LT1. Yhanks for your input. Russ

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
