valve covers
I'm looking for a set of valve covers. I don't know the name or who made them that is the problem , but they are very unique. They were made in the 80's I believe and were for the GM 350 small block. They are very wide at the top and veed down to the normal bolt pattern at the head mating surface. They gave the engine a much larger look. A black rinkle finish with polished ribs on the top was the pattern of finish I recall. Doe anyone remember these or better yet know were I can get a set?

There were some produced by Inglese that were similar to your description, the company advertises here on banners, but hasn't made them for a long time. You might check and see if they plan to reissue, otherwise it's swap meets and ebay.
Edit; TP, who owns Inglese still sells them; http://www.tperformance.com/street_r...ock_chevrolet/Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

I looked at those sites . Its not the chrome or black that set these valve covers off. It the fact that looking at the front of the engine they go upward in a V they are at least 2.5 to 3 inches wider at the top than they are at the bottom. They are about as wide as a hemi valve cover.
Thank you Roger. .
