Sorry for using the term "street racing", but that is the term you hear mostly these days. Where I grew up, we didn't do much street racing because the streets were narrow and short. We did our racing out on county roads in farm country. Non sanctioned drag racing. It was the entertainment on many Saturday nites, that and playing chicken.

Don't do either anymore, or at least not since I found out that life is not eternal.

That of course was in 1962. Streets are fatter and longer now and most of the houseless country roads are only a memory, but still don't play that way anymore.
