hahahahahaha. a buddy of mine has got a 70 chevelle with a 383 and he ran them for about a week (which is maybe 20 hours for him) and then took them out for some full roller rockers. and when i told him i was building a 350 he said he had them and hed bring them to me. when i asked him how much he said forget and gave em to me.

Some of the 4.3L engines are going to require self-aligning rocker tips similar to those required by the Vortec engines. The self-aligning rockers will have two thin washers on either side of the roller to keep it from sliding off the top of the valve. Your stock rockers will have a slight indentation in the tip to keep it on the valve stem if it is a self aligning rocker arm. On the older, non-self-aligning type engines, the holes the pushrods come through in the head are sort of rectangular and hold the pushrod straight up and down which maintains the alignment of the rocker.

this engine is early 90s. when i took the stock rocker arm off to test fit one of the roller tips the rocker arm didnt move around too much and the pushrod had very little movement. everything looked good so ill see what happens. ive also been told some 4.3s had roller cams. anyone know how to spot a roller cam v6 without taking it apart?
and as far as free stuff man let me tell you lol. i went to my uncles to get a set of heads he eas giving me and i walked away with the heads, almost brand new pistons and rods a new water pump and an almost new oil pan.
and an old school pro stock hood scoop

Ok gang. It's been awhile. With everything that was going on taking care of my mom's affairs and making a few needed mods to the Healey, it was June before anything really got rolling on this...
