    400 Intake gasket restrictors

I need some advise on the little metal coolant restrictors that go on the intake manifold gaskets (I hope I've described that right).

I've built a relatively stock 400 for a circle track race car. Should I use the restrictors, and if so where do I put them? front, back or both.

yes denny is right. if you want no heat going in the intake at all you can plug it if it aluminum alloy intake it can be welded or if iron plug with hi heat manley miracle epoxy type this is good for some small HP but will make it cold blooded. so if stock do not plug it

Ok, so the restrictors are for the exhaust cross over not the coolant ports?

so for this application, do I want them in or not? running stock alum manifold and 4bl carb. looking for the best power, engine will be warm when racing. don't need to worry about cold blooded since only running in the summer.
